Plague-doctor's costume with spice-filled beak - Mid-17th century European costume worn by physicians attending plague patients. The gown, shirt, breeches, boots, and gloves were all made of leather. The long beaklike nose piece was filled with aromatic spices and the eyeholes were covered with glass.
