This is a list of vegetable crops that are either currently grown, are recommended alternate crops, are experimental crops, or are not recommended for the Central Oregon region as indicated on the map at right. The Central Oregon vegetable region is primarily in Jefferson county with some smaller areas near Prineville in Crook County, Tygh Valley in Wasco County and Redmond in Deschuttes County. Central Oregon is a major area for the production of vegetable and culinary herb seed crops and medicinal plants.
